Strobilus Vessel investigates a new, playful design language to perfectly balance utility with the feminine. Strobilus (aka pine cone) Vessel is a porous rectangular form that consists of four pieces of aluminum, bent to create a three-dimensional "textural" effect. The aluminum pieces are attached together with spherical nickel elements - the precious seeds of the pine cone. The contrast between the rough aluminum surfaces and the polished nickel spheres, expresses the duality between industrial and artisanal, futuristic and vintage.
