Marion Mailaender's stool is inspired by French architecture. The piece results from an accumulation of ceiling mouldings, walnut, oak and nikko are gathered to forme a simple stool. When placed on walls, one will only see a portion of the mouldings. By assembling them, the stool reveals a different perspective of this emblematic Haussmanienne element of architecture. The metal ribbon underlines the shape and brings a modern touch.
