Marion Mailaender
Marion Mailaender is an object and interior designer, she lives between Paris and Marseille. Working on instinct, the designer mixes genres and eras, edging on the limits of good taste her projects are often with an 80's and 90's accent.
From Sophie Calle for whom she is rethinking her house-studio, to Amélie Pichard with whom she co-signs a cinematography boutique with erotic accents in the heart of Paris or more recently the newest hot hotel in Marseille 'Tuba Club' Marion manages to take her clients where they never imagined going. Her free and humorous spirit allows her to transcend the boundaries of eras, the references of which she brilliantly handles. Her daring as well as her sense of detail and materials exult when she moves her cursor to the scale of the object. Marion Mailaender uses everyday details in her objects which may seem trivial, but which nevertheless form the basis of a memory to be reactivated.
