Based in Paris, Alexandre Benjamin Navet maintains his relationship with the South that nourishes his solar and iodized visual environment. Its powerful flat areas of pure colors naturally echo the Modern period and the work of Henri Matisse. Volumes are simplified, shaped by strong contrasts of light and shadow.
Multidisciplinary artist, scenographer and artistic director, Alexandre Benjamin Navet is a designer. His naive and brightly colored features of ceramics are staged in a theatrical setting. He graduated from ENSCI – Les Ateliers, the National School of Industrial Creation in 2011 and won the Grand Jury Prize at the Design Parade Toulon with "Imajaghan, piece to live » in 2017.

Volumes are simplified, shaped by strong contrasts of light and shadow. “My first encounter with color is a gift. A box of pencil received very young and that I used directly on the walls of my home. I was given the freedom to add touches, shades, tints… ”Japanese watercolor, oil pastel and pencil are the artist's three favorite techniques, which are expressed both on paper and on a human scale, by creating in situ installations, such as those created in residence at the Villa Noailles or at Hermès Paris (Sèvres - Georges V). “Alexandre Benjamin Navet broadly suggests that the flat surface is not an end; on the contrary, it is the place where other territories, objects or distances are generated, in a luxuriance of colors and references to history and design. » Jean-Christophe Arcos.
