Penelope Strinz
Penelope String is a fashion designer. She was born and raised in France. Fascinated by the 80’s she worked alongside Laurent Cotta and Olivier Saillard at Galliera’s Fashion museum of Paris. She is now based in Los Angeles and focused her career in the movie industry.
After studying History of Art and Costume at IESA Paris she started as a fashion expert in auctions with Penelope Blanckaert and had a chance to work with Azzedine Alaïa, Amish Bowles and some other figures of the fashion world. Fascinated by the 80’s she worked alongside Laurent Cotta and Olivier Saillard at Galliera’s Fashion museum of Paris in the Contemporary department and helped building Balenciaga’s exhibition. At that time Penelope met Jean-Charles de Castelbajac who hired her as his first assistant. She spent 8 years by his side.
In 2013 she decided to move to New-York and started as a freelancer working with clients like Ralph Lauren, Thierry Lasry, Adidas, Nina Ricci. In 2018, Penelope moved to Los Angeles where she is now based and focused her career in the movie industry
